POWER DRESSING, REIMAGINED

This collection begins with two vintage pieces: a sharply structured power-shoulder jacket and a velvet dress embellished with delicate pearl detailing. Rather than reproducing them nostalgically, the collection pulls apart their visual language and rebuilds it for a modern woman.

The jacket provides the architecture. Strong shoulders, elongated lines, sculpted waists and assertive tailoring run throughout the collection, recalling an era when clothing became a declaration of female authority. The velvet dress supplies its counterpoint: softness, sensuality and ornament. Its pearls evolve into polished embellishments, jewelry-like accents and flashes of glamour against an otherwise disciplined palette.

Black, ivory, charcoal and muted gold create a sophisticated foundation, while stars, geometric patterns and graphic contrasts disrupt the formality. Masculine tailoring is repeatedly interrupted by exposed shoulders, asymmetric draping, body-conscious silhouettes and unexpected cutouts. The result sits somewhere between boardroom armor and eveningwear.

There is an unmistakable supermodel-era confidence to the finished collection. These clothes demand the posture, movement and presence of the great fashion editorials of the late 1980s and early 1990s: powerful rather than passive, glamorous without appearing fragile.

Most importantly, the collection treats vintage clothing as a creative archive rather than a costume. A shoulder becomes a silhouette. A pearl becomes a design vocabulary. Velvet becomes an attitude.

The past remains visible, but it has been edited, exaggerated and transformed into something distinctly contemporary: femininity with structure, nostalgia with teeth, and glamour that takes up space.

Thirteen models in modern, reimaged power dressing outfits.
